hugOne lets the smart home take care of its occupants: health and smart home finally get together!
hugOne is compatible with Android, Amazon Echo and IFTTT.

Meet us at our booth at IFA:  Hall 11.1, 13

Paris, 1st September 2016 – The French startup Sevenhugs has been designing and marketing technology products and smart services for the general public for 2 years.  Already on the market for a year, hugOne, the first online product that monitors the family’s sleep, can now be controlled from a smartphone or a tablet with Android and is compatible with Amazon Echo as well as the IFTTT service.  Sevenhugs is continuing its development and will also introduce at IFA the Smart Remote, the revolutionary remote control that can control all the online devices in the household.

hugOne keeps watch over you and simplifies your life thanks to the IFTTT automization service and the Amazon Alexa vocal assistant.

Thanks to its interaction with the Nest Thermostat and the Philips Hue light bulbs, hugOne allows you to regulate temperature and light for optimal restorative sleep.  And, thanks to its new interactions with Amazon Echo and IFTTT services, hugOne puts the quality of your sleep at the center of the smart home.

Sevenhugs is now offering its hugOne solution compatible with the IFTTT (If This Then That) service, that is, the platform that allows you to have your online devices, applications and services to interact according to your needs.  The user can create useful programs, such as turning off all the lights or turning on the online video camera when everyone in the family is asleep.

As for its compatibility with Amazon Alexa, the vocal assistant developed by Amazon, it allows the owners of a hugOne to request information on air quality and the quality of sleep for all members of the  family, by voice command, and to hear the answer spoken by “Alexa”. For example, you can ask, “Alexa, ask hugOne what Lili’s sleep score last night was,” and Alexa will answer, “Lili’s sleep score was 95 last night.” Please note that the Amazon Alexa service is accessible through Amazon Echo, Tap and Dot products and at the present time is only available in the American market and functions in English.

Help your children adopt good sleep habits with hugOne

In recent years, it has become more and more difficult to have quality sleep, no matter what our age is.   Stress, busy days, visual fatigue (video games, television, smartphones) — the causes are many, so much so that today our nights have a tendency to be shorter and shorter and our sleep loses its quality.

It was after making this observation that Sevenhugs created hugOne. An actual family help for the improvement of sleep – both for duration as well as for regularity -- hugOne is the ideal solution for families that want to keep an eye on their children’s sleep, in order to be aware of the natural biological rhythm of each one.

hugOne offers unique functions to help parents put their children to bed without stress, and to adopt regular sleep habits – an illuminated notification (to create a fun ritual) and a vertical display of the weekly results (for easy reading of the regularity of bedtimes) – so that they can enjoy to the fullest the benefits of sleep.

Recent studies* have shown the importance of regular sleep for the physical and psychological development of children and adolescents.

One hugOne will work for the entire house, no matter how many users there are in the household (up to 8 individuals, 3 years old and above).  In addition, if you have smart lightbulbs or a smart thermostat, you can connect them to hugOne so that together they simulate sunrises and sunsets and automatically adjust the temperature when everyone is asleep in order to realize energy and financial savings.

How does it work?

Developed according to sleep research studies and tested in a specialized center in Germany, the system is made up of 3 parts:  the hugOne base, the sleep sensors and the “hugOne by Sevenhugs” application (iOS et Android).

  • The hugOne base analyzes inside air quality and  offers illuminated notifications.
  • The individual sleep sensors, placed on the mattress, precisely monitor sleep cycles (light sleep, deep sleep and waking) by analyzing body movement; they also measure temperature and humidity levels in each bedroom.
  • The free application “hugOne by Sevenhugs » (through iOS and Android) allow the data to be automatically synchronized and to be made available in an easy-to-understand graphic format.

Day after day, the application learns the habits of the users and offers personalized advice to each member of the household to help them improve their sleep.

With its simple design, its multiple functions, its ultrasimple installation and its intuitive operation, hugOne is quickly becoming a partner for sleep, whether used by an individual, a couple or by the entire family.
